Not what we expected for a “Italian” restaurant. Catered to carry out. They did have a few tables. Food was good! My husband and I got pasta, the lasagna and spaghetti with meatballs. Next time we will order the pizza. We love a good pizza. 4 stars because the music was missing Bocelli and other classic Italian music.

I'm beyond thrilled to finally have a Zio Al's closer to where I live. Finding out about this Mansfield location made my year. I used to drive 30 minutes from Cedar Hill to get to the one downtown but no more. Today I ordered online and the young lady Awa who helped me was so nice and super personable. I cannot wait to come back. I do not eat pork so when I first learned that none of their pizzas have pork, I knew I'd be a customer for life. You cannot even tell the difference. Their pizzas are always consistently delicious!!! 😋

Zio Al's Pizza Driving home from work after midnight doesn't leave many options to pick up dinner on the way. I happened to remember that Zio Al's stays open until 3am daily and there just happened to be one nearby. I was pleased with the selection I could choose from and decided on pasta and an appetizer. I ordered the Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo and a pepperoni flatbread. The pasta was outstanding with the baked mozzarella cheese on top. The portion is large enough for two. The pepperoni flatbread was essentially a small portion of pizza that was perfect for scooping pasta up with a fork. I saw they had a variety of salads, pizza, and desserts. Based on the reviews, I just knew this pizza was about to be a win. The top looked absolutely amazing — cheese melted just right, toppings looking picture-perfect. I was ready. But the moment I picked up a slice? Immediate letdown. The bottom of the pizza was mushy and super wet. I’m guessing the pineapples weren’t drained before being added, because the crust just couldn’t hold up. And nobody wants a soggy slice. It had so much potential, which honestly makes it even more disappointing. Hoping this was just an off night, because the visuals definitely had me fooled. 🍕😕

Everything was amazing! Everything came out fast and hot, amazing flavors, great food selection and great service from Luis! We got the pepperoni pizza, chicken Alfredo pizza, and the chicken parm sub (which came with fries!!).
